Well folks, I am officially full term at 37 weeks. That means William could potentially come any time now and I would prefer sooner rather than later, well maybe just one week longer in order to get myself organized. I've done lots of research as to what to pack in Baby William's hospital bag and I am so excited to say that it is finally complete (obviously, or else this point would be pointless and not helpful to you in any way whatsoever). On Monday we spent some gift cards at Bed Bath & Beyond and I picked out the
as my diaper bag. I absolutely love it! From a distance it just looks like a purse but has everything you need in a diaper bag including a matching changing pad, lots of space, and many pockets. Someday when I have baby number two I may upgrade to a larger back but for one kiddo, this is just perfect!
After all of my research, below is the list of items that I am taking to the hospital. I may have overpacked but I'd rather be more prepared than under prepared. Sometime in July I'll do a recap of what I packed and explain what I used, didn't use, and what would have been useful to pack but I'm feeling pretty confident in my list and I think I picked out a lot of super cute items to complete the list. I chose to pack all of William's things in his diaper bag because that just makes sense to me. We may not need the newborn diapers or the wipes or the portable changing pad while at the hospital but this way I got the diaper bag and the hospital both packed. It's a win win.
- 2 hats (I have three packed because one is premie size but my grandma knit it so I'd like to see if it fits)
- 1 long sleeved white onesie
- 1 short sleeved white onesie
- 3 patterned onesies
- 1 pair of pants
- 2 pairs socks
- 2 receiving blankets
- 1 knit or soft blanket (not pictured but my grandmother knit it for William)
- 1 long sleeved sleeper
- nail clippers
- 2 pacifiers
- car seat (already installed, not pictured)
- boppy pillow (not pictured)
William has the smallest packing list out of the three people in our little family but I guess that makes sense since he is the smallest. What did you/will you pack in your baby's hospital bag? Anything I should add or that you think I definitely won't need? Stay tuned next week to see what I'm packing in my hospital bag and what I'm packing in Seth's hospital bag as well!
