My little monkey is five months old today! That sounds so old to me. I cannot believe that William came into our lives five months ago, it seems so recent yet so far away. It is so much fun being William's mama, he is the cutest, most active little man and even though it drives me crazy sometimes, I wouldn't trade him for the world. He continues to be chill and happy almost all of the time, making me feel like one spoiled mama (and slightly afraid for whenever the second one comes along ha). I swear that he grows overnight, most mornings I cannot believe how big he looks. I love this little man and despite the fact that I am really excited for him to really get moving, I am treasuring these moments with my little man.
And can we just look at that hair. That
hair. For the longest time we weren't sure if his hair would come in red or blonde but it's totally looking red...what do you think?
William is 16 lbs and 24 1/2 inches long.
He is nursing every 2-3 hours during the day and 3-5 hours at night. At least once a day he gets a snack of some homemade baby food (so far he loves applesauce the most). I'm working on introducing more foods to him, what were/are your baby's favorites?
William wakes me up about two times overnight but is
going to bed by 9pm, 9:30 at the latest which is significantly better than a few months ago when he preferred a midnight bedtime. During the day he still takes about three naps, sometimes just two.
This kid is so close to crawling it's crazy! In the meantime he is happy pushing himself around on his back and
jumping up and down in his exersaucer or on our laps. He jumps like a little frog, it's adorable and odd all at the same time.
One of his biggest improvements over this month was in the speech department. He is one talkative and noisy kid (which we expected ha). He sort of screech talks and giggles and loves to vibrate his lips (dude, I cannot think of what we call this but I think ya'll know what I mean ha). He is especially vocal when we put on a tv show that he likes and he's in his exersaucer, he's so loud that we can't hear the tv.
William is able to hold himself up for a few seconds when we put him into a seated position and he just wants to walk so badly, forget crawling. He is very interested in playing with toys and his favorite teddy bear and doesn't mind tummy time so much. And since discovering his toes last month, he now likes to literally eat his toes. I'm not sure if he thinks there's food in them but there's not so yeah....oh! William also gives little baby kisses and hugs now! It's the sweetest!
He is now in clothing size 3-6 months and some 6 month pants fit him as well.
